Author Guidelines

Submit your manuscript along with cover letter with title page. The Cover letter should contain title page with all important details such as: the type of article, full title of article, author names, list of authors with affiliations, running title, word count, the corresponding author details with e-mail address, number of attached files, if there is more than one, sources of support (if applicable) and finally the status of manuscript: new or reviewed. The manuscript file including main text, tables, figures, references, and supplementary documents preferably be submitted in Word (.doc), formats and images in JPEG/PNG format. You can alternatively submit one PDF file with all content.

The main text file should have an abstract section that should be structured with the background, methods, results, conclusion and limited to 500 words. The key words should be at the bottom of the abstract and no fewer than three but no more than six words that reflects the contents of the manuscript. The Introduction section should include the reason for undertaking the study. The methods section should be clear with self-explanatory statistical methods. The result section should have relevant tables and findings of the study. The discussion section should not repeat the results rather the main findings of the study to be highlighted in the background of literature review on the said topic. A brief concluding paragraph may be added if mandatory. As far as possible the abbreviations should be avoided at first place or mentioned separately with their full definition. All references should be cited consecutively in the text as superscript numerals and listed on a separate sheet in numerical order. Each reference should contain standard Vancouver format and abbreviations of journals name should confirm to Index medicus style. The photographs should be of good quality with separate legends and tables should be self-explanatory. Acknowledgements of people, grants, funds, etc. can be listed separately.

               All submitted manuscript must be an original contribution not previously published (except as an abstract or preliminary report). We are committed to prompt evaluation and publication of fully accepted papers in our journal. After receiving the manuscript, an acknowledgement email is send to the corresponding author with unique reference number which is the manuscript ID; which should be used in all further communications. The manuscripts are initially considered by the journal editor. If the manuscript is rejected in first stage, corresponding author will receive the email within 72 hours. Manuscripts will be rejected in this first stage for the below reasons:

  • If the manuscript does not fall within the scope of the journal
  • If the submitted manuscript is incomplete
  • If the findings are not sufficiently described
  • If the content is plagiarized
  • If the content/approach is unscientific

               To maintain a high-quality publication, all considered submissions are subjected to standard review process and checking plagiarism as per UGC guidelines. Submitted manuscripts undergo a detailed double blind peer review process by professionals with the same backgrounds. Authors will receive an initial decision on the manuscript within 30 days on average. In case of revision required, all the comments of editor and reviewers will be sent to author along with the original version of manuscript. Author should submit the revised version along with separate file having point-to-point reply of referee’s comments to editorial office within 15 days. Author can request for extension of timeline writing to editorial office. Final decision of the manuscript will depend on the chief editor of the journal. On acceptation of the manuscript, authors will be informed immediately. It is mandatory for the authors to submit duly filled copyright assignment form after acceptance of their manuscript. All the accepted articles underdo language editing and formatted to suit the journal style. Editorial office will take care of submitting the published articles to various indexing sites.

               We truly welcome kind suggestions from the readers which are within the scope of the journal. All publication decisions are made by the journal's chief editor on the basis of the referees' reports. Authors of papers that are not accepted are notified promptly. The submitted manuscripts are treated as confidential documents. We expect our board of editors and reviewers to treat manuscripts as confidential material as well. All accepted manuscripts become the property of the journal and may not be reproduced or published elsewhere without the written permission of the publisher. Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
  • Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.
